According to many reports, Cristiano Ronaldo owns a private island near the coast of Madeira. It is said that the Portuguese sporting icon has bought an island on the Rocky Mountains. He bought it to spend the uncertain conditions of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

However, no reliable source can verify this information. Reports that have claimed Ronaldo bought an island cannot provide information about when exactly the island was bought. There is no exact information about the cost of the island as well.

These reports have claimed that the CR7 museum and Pestana CR7 hotel are all located on this island. However, the museum and hotel are located in Madeira itself. And it is not an island that is owned by Ronaldo. It is just the land where he was born in. His brother pitched the idea of creating a museum in his homeland. The idea was a superhit and Hugo Dos Santos Aveiro is the man who manages the museum.

Many reports cited Ronaldo’s pictures during that period and stated that he is on his private island. However, that was Madeira itself. Not his private island.
