Dwayne Johnson is back in the headlines. However, this time it is for his heel persona. After the massive backlash he got from fans after attempting to take Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania spot, he has turned heel for the first time in almost two decades. Since then he has been unapologetic and has taken his kayfabe outside the ring as well. Due to this, he had recently fired shots at the host of Busted Open Radio, Dave LaGreca. Now, a TNA legend and someone who has worked closely with Johnson revealed why the Hollywood icon might try to shoot down LaGreca with his words.

Is Dwayne Johnson afraid of Dave LaGreca?

According to former WWE star Bully Ray, the answer to this question might be yes. During the latest episode of the radio show, Ray stated that the Brahma Bull is scared of LaGreca due to one particular reason. “The Rock fears Dave LaGreca”, he said. When LaGreca tried to dismiss the statement, Ray further added as to why he is afraid of the host of the show.

He stated, “He wouldn’t have been included in the video. He knows that a guy like you can stir up a large portion of the wrestling universe.” Ray then added, “He knows that a guy like you is recognizable. You’ve gotta a voice and those Cody Crybabies will be screaming loud come WrestleMania.”

The TNA legend also stated that LaGreca should fly down to Philidelphia for WrestleMania 40, where he should make an appearance in his signature pink robe and march alongside the Cody Crybabies just to show off to Johnson.

While Bully Ray had some uplifting words for LaGreca, the host stated in the same podcast how he believed Dwayne Johnson made things personal.

Shots fired at The Rock

In the same podcast, LaGreca mentioned that it is the Hollywood icon’s fault that he made things personal. According to the host, his comments on the Hollywood icon taking over Cody Rhodes’ spot were just from the pro wrestling perspective. But Johnson including him in his 21-minute rant video was not the right thing.

He accused Johnson of going “low brow” with his barbs and one-liners.  LaGreca also mentioned that all he was doing was sticking with the facts and those facts might have hurt Johnson.
